For being what's considered a "small window" AC, this unit has plenty of power to cool 2 rooms. Once I initially cool the rooms, I can usually keep the unit at "4" which is fantastic!
It's relatively quiet, as far as window AC units are concerned, and the fan feature is really nice.

This comparatively small unit does a great job! I bought it to cool a very stuffy, one-window room which is tucked away under a porch. There's no airflow at all, so sleeping in there on a hot night was impossible! This little AC unit saved the day - or should I say, night!

I love this little A/C. I think you get your money's worth in just one day with this product. At first I had doubts since I'm trying to cool off a 450 sqft room with this 150 sqft A/C unit, but it gets the job done very well. Takes the Chicago summer humidity off and you always get the nice cool feeling every time you step in your apartment.

I replaced an older air conditioner for this one in my living room. I was surprised at how well this unit cools down the room. I have another 5000 BTU in the other side of the house, and between these two, the whole house stays cool. Fantastic!

For the inexpensive price of this window A/C, I am very impressed with how efficiently it cools my upstairs bedroom in New Mexico! As you can imagine by the end of a day where temps are scorching the heat on the home seems to really accumulate upstairs! I only have to turn this on for a couple of hours to cool down my room and then I can switch to fan mode! This little powerhouse is perfect for me!

The unit doesn't get any quieter with a lower temperature setting. We put it in a room about 150 square feet and it cooled it down 10 degrees within an hour (off of perception). To keep from drilling holes into my window, I got two 3 foot strips of wood approximately 3/4 inch by 1 inch and used the drill holes for the side panel fans to extend them to my desired length. Then I added some wood blocks on top of the window to keep it from being opened. It turned out really secure! I'm sure GE can't recommend this mount though.

Easy to install but if using window brackets you will need 2 of them to place on each side because the drain hole is dead center of unit. Cools the bedroom nicely.
